As I mentioned earlier in A308B + KU3.08.16 during 27-Jan-2018 lectures, Id like you run through and understand below classroom materials:

Week 1 and Week 2 materials (see slide 5)

 

The background of having these materials is to share some of the advancement and trends in software development field in 2018, especially ones coming from the practical field. I chose Github and Stack Overflow among others because of their exposure and popularity in software technology.

There will be 2 assignments that you need to do related to the above:

 

Assignment 1

Opinion on 2018 Software Development Trends

Instruction:

Please write your comments (individually, not by team) after reading the materials on Github and Stack Overflow.

It should be just a concise and key-point summary (around 500 words) and put on the comment of this post using English language (for both IF-40-10 and IF-40-INT students). Comments are moderated in this blog, so it is normal not to see your comments appearing immediately. A sample comment provided below.

Assignment 2

Preparation for Google Design Sprint

Instruction:

Form a team of 5 or 6 students, with the below major roles in Google Design Sprint:

1 student as product chief – someone with the most tangible exposure of problem domain

1 student as facilitator – someone who leads the entire flows and submit the assignment

3 to 4 students as designers  – someone who does prototyping tasks in Google Design Sprint Day 4 (prototyping).

Email the list of group and member roles to [email protected] with subject: “CSH2B3 2017-2 Team” and body contains: Name+Class+Student ID+Role in Design Sprint. Facilitator should be the one doing submission to my email.

Timeline:

Submit not later than 28-Jan-2018 00:00 UTC+7 by emailing to [email protected].

Grading:

Not graded, however it will impact your grades on Google Design Sprint 1+2+3.
